Kathalina is a 2nd Year Graduate Teaching Assistant at Kent State University in Ohio. Her main focus is to develop her teaching pedagogy and cultivate mentorship and research over the next 2 years. She has over 15 years of Theatre experience and enjoys sharing her passion for art and entertainment with others. She works closely within her community on a variety of community service projects and mentorship with special needs children. She also is very dedicated to green research to improve waste reduction within the theater. Her innovative and creative drive is one of the fun aspects of what it means to be her. Raising a child with autism teaches her to evolve, overcome, and think outside the box. Making theater accessible and inviting to the next generation means unifying all these things. As she looks to the future, she can only hope to instill some of these practices in her own students.
