Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Aaron is the oldest child of Henry and Helen Sanders. Growing up, his hobbies were playing the piano, baseball, reading, and bowling. He graduated from Firestone High School and went on to The Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering. While at The Ohio State University, Aaron met his love, Sharnell. She has earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work and continues to work in that field. Sharnell and Aaron were married in 2004 and have two sons—Solomon, 15, and Christian, 14. His sons are both merit roll (or better) students and actively involved in music, baseball, and basketball. Aaron has worked in automotive, pharmaceutical, water filtration, energy, and healthcare industries serving in engineering, operations, safety, quality, and continuous improvement roles. Aaron currently serves at STERIS Corporation as a Continuous Improvement Manager supporting their Life Sciences business unit. He supports driving lean methodology throughout office and manufacturing processes. Aaron currently spends his time outside of work serving at church, coaching or attending his son’s baseball games, and actively practicing piano and bass guitar. He also enjoys collecting vinyl and staying physically active.
