Through our classes here at Weathervane Playhouse, we encourage students to think outside of the box and use their imaginations to explore, create, learn, and grow. Our classes allow students to gain an understanding and appreciation for the art of theatre while they develop into artists and build confidence that can be translated from the stage to their everyday lives. It is also our goal to provide each and every student with a positive experience that they can cherish for years to come. 

Our Spring Theatre Academy are a great way to try something new or continue with your theatre education before our Summer Theatre Academy 2024. The Spring session will be 10 weeks long beginning Saturday, March 2nd. Workshops are offered for students ages 2-17 and include acting, dance, musical theatre and more! On the last day of the workshops, parents are invited to watch a small informal performance on our stage. 

ADULT AND KINDER CLASSES WILL BE OFFERED THIS SESSION AS WELL AS WEEKDAY CLASSES!

Broadway Tots

Ages 5-6

For our little shining stars! Students will work on all aspects of musical theatre by learning the basics of singing, dancing, and acting. They will develop performance skills and grow in their confidence onstage and off!

ADULT

Adult Jazz/Tap

Bust out your tap shoes and jazz shoes and come join the fun! This class will focus on basic tap/jazz skills and techniques. Students will learn Broadway tap and jazz combinations as well as how to prepare for that next high-energy tap dance audition!

Pre-Professional Track

Take the next step in your training with our Pre-Professional classes. These classes are intended for our Weathervane Musical Theatre Company students or any student who would like to audition for these classes.

Dance Technique and Fundamentals

Intermediate Acting

Come explore the world of stage combat and acting improv! Focus will be placed on safety, partnering, physical specificity and performance skills as students learn the basics of stage combat in a safe and choreographed fashion.
