Introduction to acting: once upon a time

Step into a world where your favorite stories come to life! In Once Upon a Time, young performers will use their imaginations to transform beloved storybooks into exciting theatrical adventures. Through creative drama games, movement, music, character exploration, and simple storytelling techniques, students will build confidence, develop communication skills, and discover the joy of performing. Each class encourages creativity, teamwork, and self-expression as students create characters, act out scenes, and bring magical tales to life.

Students will learn audition etiquette, how to make a strong first impression, cold reading techniques, how to choose audition cuts, monologues, and tips for handling nerves. Through mock auditions and individualized feedback, participants will gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. Whether auditioning for school productions, community theatre, or simply looking to grow as a performer, this workshop provides the tools to walk into any audition feeling prepared, confident, and ready to perform.

acting i: the art of the VILLAIN

Every great story needs an unforgettable villain! In this exciting acting class, students will explore what makes a memorable antagonist through voice, movement, and character choices. From mischievous tricksters to over-the-top masterminds, young actors will discover that the best villains have unique personalities, clear motivations, and plenty of stage presence.

Through theatre games, improvisation, scene work, and creative character-building exercises, students will develop acting fundamentals while learning how to create bold, believable performances.

Musical Theatre Mania

Students will be encouraged to expand their performance skills to create characters with depth and motivation, study scene work, and monologues, and use their basic knowledge of theatre vocabulary to interpret the essentials of a scene. Each student will leave the class with new acting material and be ready to take on their next audition or performance!
