Welcome to our Spring 2026 Weathervane Musical Theatre Company Showcase. 

We are delighted to introduce you to 27 of the most talented students in Northeast Ohio.

Weathervane Musical Theatre Company (fondly known as WMTC) is Northeast Ohio’s premier musical theatre training program. We are proud to offer top-tier instruction that prepares our students for the professional industry, competitive college prescreens and auditions, and supports their individual artistic journeys.

This showcase will feature group numbers from Merrily We Roll Along, Beetlejuice, and Matilda, as well as individual audition material each student has developed and refined throughout the year.

Our curriculum this year has focused on:
• Musical theatre audition technique
• Building and refining audition repertoire
• Professional rehearsal etiquette
• Shakespeare technique
• Contemporary monologue work
• Ballet and jazz dance technique

Our Masterclass Series has featured some of Northeast Ohio’s most respected theatre professionals, including:
• Victoria Bussert, Head of Musical Theatre at Oberlin College
• Terri Kent, Head of Kent State University’s Musical Theatre Program
• Scott Spence, Artistic Director of The Beck Center for the Arts 
• Connor Bogart, Director of Shining Star CLE

These masterclasses are invaluable for our students, providing direct feedback from industry leaders and opportunities to build professional relationships in a safe, educational environment.

What truly sets WMTC apart is our commitment to transparency in the coaching process. Students observe their peers being coached in a variety of ways throughout the year, allowing them to better understand the technical craft of auditioning. We remove the “mask” of the audition and instead teach the artistry behind it.
