A Weathervane Playhouse Emerging Artist Series Production

A loving send-up of early 1960s, small-town America, teenagers, and rock ‘n’ roll, Bye Bye Birdie remains as fresh and vibrant as ever. Teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted into the army, so he chooses All-American girl Kim MacAfee for a very public farewell kiss.

Featuring a tuneful, high-energy score — with such memorable songs as “Put on a Happy Face,” “One Last Kiss,” “One Boy,” “A Lot of Livin’ to Do,” “Kids!” and “Rosie” — and a hilarious script, Bye Bye Birdie continues to delight audiences after nearly 60 years since its debut.

Weathervane Playhouse's production of Bye Bye Birdie is presented by arrangement with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc. The videotaping or other video or audio recording of this production is strictly prohibited.
