JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, 2025

For more than 20 years, Weathervane Playhouse has offered the opportunity to perform in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat during the holiday season.  This enduring musical retells the Biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colors through engaging, high-energy songs. It is joyful, theatrical, and perfect for student performers.  Since 2000, over 80 children’s choirs have performed at Weathervane with our casts.

As a part of our 91st season, Weathervane Playhouse is currently seeking local children's choirs of 12-25 students from grades 2 through 5 to perform for one week of shows (3 to 5 performances) this December.  Performances run from November 20 through December 21, 2025.

To support your students’ preparation, Weathervane will provide piano rehearsal tracks and official sheet music. We also require participation in two group rehearsals at Weathervane Playhouse along with our Music Director and other choirs:

  • Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Each group will also be assigned one evening technical rehearsal onstage with the full cast, crew, and all technical elements. These rehearsals run from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis:

  • Monday, November 24
  • Tuesday, November 25
  • Wednesday, November 26 (Reserved for Week 1 Choir)

Each choir will be assigned to one performance week and will perform in several shows during that week. Please indicate your preferred week when responding. All scheduling is first-come, first-served.
