Ryan Leflar

Musical Theatre/Dance Instructor

Ryan is a senior B.F.A Theatrical Directing major at Kent State University. He is an aspiring young director and choreographer with hopes of running his own regional theater promoting social activism as well as operating after school programs. He loves working with kids and is looking to get his Master of Arts in Teaching. He has choreographed, directed, and taught many K-12 level shows and classes. He finds that spreading the love and comfort of theater brings him joy. He maintains professionalism throughout rehearsal processes but he tries to not let anyone get lost in the rush of life without first finding the love of theater. Some of his favorite projects include choreographing Dancing For The Kids at Akron Children’s Hospital, assistant directing The Mystery of Edwin Drood at Kent State, assistant directing and co-choreographing My Dear Aunt Flow at Kent State, and choreographing for Performing Arts Summer Spectacular (P.A.S.S.) Camp at Lake Union Local Schools! He wants to encourage everyone to have fun while learning an ever-changing and progressing art form.
