You are invited to the third annual Theatre Education Conference at Weathervane Playhouse! 

This conference will have a number of master classes and break-out sessions, each with a variety of topics for educators to take part-in. This conference is meant to provide a networking and educational venue for Northeast Ohio Theatre Educators and Professionals of all skill levels and abilities. If you've directed plays for schools for years or if you're just starting out, you will be able to make amazing connections and learn something new at this event!

Registration for the event includes breakfast, lunch, networking and sharing sessions, vendor materials, and a complimentary ticket to the Weathervane production that evening TBA. This year we are offering a special rate for college students!

There are CEUs available for teachers for an additional $25.00. CEUs are provided by Kent State University. NEW this year, we will also have sign-ups to earn graduate credit. All participants will receive a certificate of participation as well.

One of Weathervane’s Education initiatives is to connect with theatre educators from the Northeast Ohio community and provide networking and professional development opportunities!

Community Education Partners

The primary goal of this group is to bring together theatre educators from the Northeast Ohio community, to encourage discussions amongst educators, and to explore how Weathervane Playhouse can be of support and act as a resource for theater programs.

Objectives of the group include:  

  • To function as a resource for local high school and middle school theatre programs and other resources.
  • To help with future curriculum development.
  • To provide feedback on a professional development events we would like to provide for teachers.

For the seven Mainstage productions only: Seats still available at 30 minutes before show time are made available at half-price to teachers with a valid I.D. (Limit one half-price ticket per valid I.D.)
