Weathervane Playhouse celebrates the art of the short-format play with the third annual 8x10 TheatreFest — eight plays, 10 minutes each!

Aspiring playwrights are invited to submit their entries for the 2013 8x10 TheatreFest. Weathervane's volunteer judges will read all of the entries and select eight finalist plays. Then, during the weekend of Aug. 16 to 18, 2013, the Playhouse will present three performances of all eight finalist plays.

Our guest judges will view the plays and select the first- and second-place winners. Additionally, the audience gets to vote, too, for the "Fan Favorite" winner. All the winners are announced during a reception immediately following the final performance on Aug. 18.

Call for Entries for Weathervane Playhouse's Third Annual 8x10 TheatreFest!

Beginning Oct. 15, 2012, playwrights are invited to submit 10-minute plays for ajudication.

On TheatreFest weekend — Aug. 16 to 18, 2013 — Weathervane will present the eight finalist plays. Guest judges will choose first- and second-place winners and audience members vote for their favorite (the "Fan Favorite" award). Prizes will be awarded after the Aug. 18 performance.

We're looking for plays that excite and enchant, using interesting and compelling characters and situations. Our audiences love surprises (and so do we!).

Single tickets are $10 each (general-admission seating)

BOX OFFICE INFORMATION

Buy tickets in person or by telephone (330-836-2626) during the following hours:
• Mondays: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Tuesdays through Fridays: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Performance Saturdays only: Noon to 5 p.m.
• The Box Office is also open beginning one hour before each performance and remains open until the final curtain.
