A drama by Howard Sackler

Directed by Terrence Spivey

This drama -- inspired by the life of boxer Jack Johnson, the fist black heavyweight champion of the world -- examines the American Dream as seen through the prism of race.

Prize fighter Jack Jefferson can beat almost any opponent in the boxing ring but encounters a greater foe in society at large when he dares to defy convention and his own community.
