Celebrating the Winners of the 8th Annual 8x10 TheatreFest

Tuesday, July 24, 2018 3:55:00 PM

What has lemon-scented drain cleaner, Santa Claus, decoupage, bingo, and lots and lots of sock monkies? Weathervane’s annual 8x10 TheatreFest, of course!

The eighth annual new-works play festival received 177 submissions from 33 states and six countries, including Canada, Germany, Israel, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

The final eight scripts were presented for audiences July 19 to 22, 2018. These audiences cast their votes for their favorite plays, as well as their choice for next year's inspirational prop, just as the Sock Monkey was chosen for this year's festival.

A sold-out crowd of 240 eager audience members stuck around after the show Sunday, July 22nd to hear the voting results and partake in a reception with delightful deserts provided by Cake Bites & Other Delights, courtesy of a generous donation from Fred and Sherri Gloor!
